DIVERSITY, EQUITY, & INCLUSION

We are committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We understand the critical importance of diversity in our agency, but believe we won’t maximize all the benefits of diversity without inclusion and belonging. Therefore, we strive to create an environment where everyone is welcome and belongs, and can bring their whole selves to both the agency and their work.

We are an Antiracist agency. As an Antiracist company, we fight against racist ideas, behavior, and policies. Our DEI strategy is grounded in education, anti-bias training, inclusive recruiting and retention practices, community engagement, and partnering with diverse clients, resources, and vendors to create a more equitable society.

We are holding ourselves accountable. In 2020, DNA signed onto 600 & Rising’s 12 Actions and committed to making meaningful progress against each. Since committing to change and releasing our diversity data on Juneteenth of 2020, it’s fair to say our collective efforts were not just a moment. What we are experiencing—still today—is a movement to address a broken system. And we must keep it going.

76%

OF OUR NEW HIRES
OVER THE LAST YEAR
HAVE BEEN BIPOC TALENT

At DNA, we’ve taken a solid first step in creating a more inclusive agency that better reflects the diverse audiences of the brands we serve. In turn, 76% of our hires over the last year have been BIPOC talent, resulting in significant statistical increases in most racial/ethnic diversity categories. We’ve also moved the agency from being majority male to now having a 50/50 gender split.

#COMMITTOCHANGE

#COMMITTOCHANGE

#COMMITTOCHANGE

This all started with a serious look inward at our hiring practices, developing a DE&I strategic plan by leadership, and committing to inclusivity by everyone at DNA. We’re proud of our progress, but we also recognize there’s still much work to be done. So, in addition to joining the #CommitToChange campaign, we’ve committed to 600 & Rising’s 12 Action Steps addressing the systemic racism afflicting our industry. As a result, we have either accomplished or made substantial progress against nine actions, with three still remaining.

ACCOUNTABILITY

ACCOUNTABILITY

ACCOUNTABILITY

AT THIS LEVEL HAS THE POWER
TO CHANGE OUR AGENCY

We understand that we need to put in the work and hold ourselves accountable for this movement to continue. Not just in transparency, but in policy and advocacy as well. Because accountability at this level has the power to change our agency—and more importantly, our industry.

We don’t fuck around. And when we do, we don’t fuck around.
