The Situation


In a category where minutes and messages and megabytes are commodities, there’s not much differentiation on the customer experience beyond the plan and the device. But everyone uses their phone differently — consumers don’t all use the same amount of minutes or data each month. To help differentiate Consumer Cellular from other major phone carriers, we created the “Just For You” commercial. Through the commercial we communicated that by signing up with Consumer Cellular, consumers can get a plan where they pay for only the services they use — and nothing more.
