The Situation


Alaska has always been Seattle's hometown airline. But in recent years, their inflight amenities began to lag behind those offered by Delta and other competitors. In fact, Alaska was in danger of losing its first-place ranking with J.D. Power - an honor they had received for the past 7 years in a row. So while Alaska worked to roll out a new inflight experience that promised power at every seat, more entertainment options, better food and drink options and more, we were hired to make sure customers noticed.

When you’re playing catch-up, the most important step is to improve your product or service. But the next critical step is to let people know when you’ve done just that. Branding Alaska’s inflight improvements made them easier to understand and helped generate awareness more quickly. When the promise you make matches the experience you deliver, increased satisfaction and loyalty are the result.

If you were flying during the launch of this campaign, our messaging for Alaska Beyond would have been impossible to miss. We promoted it on Alaska’s website, at check-in terminals, at security, at the gate and just about everywhere else. And Alaska was able to keep their J.D. Power Award-winning streak alive, with their eighth consecutive win.
