Media Planner

DNA is looking for a Media Planner who can think and act independently, trust already strong instincts, solve problems and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:


  • Able to collaborate with client, account service, strategy and creative team to establish media goals, objectives, and strategies for advertising campaigns
  • Thoroughly understands all elements of the media planning process and can clearly communicate media objectives and strategies
  • Can clearly communicate goals of media recommendations to clients and provide rationale for those recommendations
  • Able to manage client expectations for media-related projects and able to troubleshoot changes in direction, goal or budget
  • Can monitor performance of all integrated media plans and able to thoroughly explain campaign performance
  • Able to make optimization recommendations throughout all digital and social campaigns
  • Train and manage the Assistant Media Planner’s workflow and bandwidth
  • Able to research and write constructive POVs (Point of Views) for the agency and clients
  • Evaluate various syndicated research and draw clear conclusions from findings
  • Can quickly build and maintain relationships with all media vendors

Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years of integrated media planning and buying experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high-level understanding of paid search, display, social media and integrated advertising trends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
  • Inquisitive, with a passion for problem solving
  • Ability to own projects from start to finish
  • A self-starter capable of working autonomously and collaboratively
  • Able to work well under tight deadlines and prioritize when necessary, in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Working knowledge of programmatic planning and buying including experience in technologies such as DoubleClick Software (DCM, DBM)
  • Passionate and curious about emerging technologies and the evolving media landscape
  • Experience with online research and planning tools such as Nielsen AdIntel, Scarborough, MRI
  • Experience working with Google Analytics or AdWords is a plus
