CHRISTINE WISE JOINS DNA AS CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER

Former Wexley Exec to Take Agency Leadership Role

Leading industry strategist Christine Wise is joining DNA in the new role of Chief Strategy Officer and will become part of the senior management team and executive leadership.

Wise will oversee an integrated strategy team including DNA’s brand, communications, and data strategy practices. The move also adds a significant player to DNA’s next generation of leaders and follows the news earlier this year that Chris Witherspoon was named President and Chief Growth Officer of the agency.

Wise joins DNA following a nearly 10-year post with Wexley School for Girls. As a partner and member of the executive team at Wexley, Wise was instrumental in developing and delivering an innovative and creatively driven approach that drove measurable business results for clients, garnered creative awards, and led to consistent agency growth.

“Christine is a proven entrepreneur and marketing innovator that brings DNA new ways to evolve our structure and offering to better deliver creative business building solutions to our clients,” said Chris Witherspoon. “I’ve worked with Christine and know that she will have a valuable and lasting imprint on our agency.”

Prior to her tenure at Wexley, Wise worked at Publicis West where she and Witherspoon worked together on the T-Mobile account. She also co-founded and built CareGuide, an Internet company, focused on elder care. CaregGuide was sold in 2000. She started CareGuide while working at Citron, Haligman, Bedcarre (now AKQA).

“DNA is known for their excellent brand work that gets to the heart of what a brand is about, but as they look toward the future they understand the need to evolve the way brand stories are brought to life,” explained Ms. Wise. “The opportunity I see is to leverage DNA’s current strengths to create new and innovative approaches to storymaking and engagement that take full advantage of the modern marketing landscape.’”

DNA has forged a philosophy based on uncovering love for the brands it serves. Wise will be working to build a more integrated strategy team designed to drive creative excellence process, business success, and new ways to cultivate brand love.

“Christine has been a pioneer in bringing new thinking and tools to the marketing landscape,” noted Alan Brown, Founder and CEO of DNA. “I have been a huge fan of her work for many years. And as we look to continue to grow, Christine will have a tremendous impact on making our work even better. With Christine and Chris now in place as agency leaders, DNA is on a fast track to deliver transformational change to our clients and our industry.”
